What to Expect After Completing This Course?

So long as you have some basic woodworking knowledge and access to some tools, you will be able to make an epoxy table from start to finish. 

You will be able to:
  • Confidently buy wood that is dried to your climate, treated for bugs, and ready to work with
  • Choose a layout that will separate you from 90% of the epoxy table makers
  • Properly prepare your wood
  • Build a form that is guaranteed leak-proof. We’ll also cover stopping leaks. In case you skip a section
  • Mix and calculate the correct amount of epoxy needed
  • Learn how to get the exact color you are hoping for. And be able to match that color later if desired.
  • Flatten your table once cured
  • Learn how to properly sand and finish your table
  • Learn how to attach table legs, accounting for seasonal wood movement
  • How to care for your table to keep it looking as new as possible for as long as possible
  • Finally, how to refresh/or refinish your table if needed.

Hey, I'm Cam

I am the owner and sole employee of Blacktail Studio. In less than five years I have gone from a novice woodworker who ruined his first epoxy table to one of the world's most foremost experts on not just making epoxy tables but educating others on the topic. My epoxy builds and tutorials have gotten over 90 million views on Youtube and are the driving force behind my channel recently surpassing one million subscribers. 

I am not just a Youtuber though. I am a full-time woodworking shop as well. My first epoxy table sale was for $900. Today my tables range from $10,000 to over $30,000. 

I have also hosted many in-person workshops with dozens of attendees from around the world. I have taken the best parts of these in-person workshops and integrated them into this virtual workshop.

Past Works

I have lost track of exactly how many epoxy tables I have made, but I'd say somewhere over 60 total. I have become known for my black resin with walnut, but I have experience with many colors and styles. To make sure everyone is covered, I show examples of clear, metallic, tinted, and solid tables throughout the workshop.
